D. Elliott

Dr Dorianne Elliott qualified from the University of Pretoria with BvSc in 2002 and has been working as an avian and exotic animal veterinarian since. She has been principal of the Bird and Exotic Animal Hospital at Onderstepoort, Pretoria, South Africa since 2006. Apart from running a busy private practice, Dorianne holds the position of Extraordinary Lecturer, Dept of Companion Animal Clinical Studies at the University of Pretoria. She lectures and trains the veterinary and veterinary nursing students in avian and exotic animal medicine. She has presented at many national and international veterinary congresses and is also involved in climate change research on birds in the Kalahari desert. She is a dedicated falconer and rehabilitation of birds of prey is her first love.
