Dr. Ann Hohenhaus is a third-generation veterinarian, double board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Oncology and Small Animal Internal Medicine. As the Animal Medical Center’s official spokesperson, she is regularly featured in the national news media, writes extensively about animal health, including the Animal Medical Center blog. She hosts a monthly radio show and podcast on Sirius XM Stars Channel 109, “Ask the Vet.” Dr. Hohenhaus has been awarded the Maxwell Medallion from the Dog Writers Association of American and the DeBakey Award from the Foundation for Biomedical Research her work in both veterinary journalism. She has contributed widely to clinical veterinary medicine through research articles and textbooks. Lecturing frequently at WSAVA, she has spoken at meetings in Durban and Capetown, South Africa, Sydney Australia and Amsterdam, Holland. In 2021, she was selected to be a member of the influential World Small Animal Veterinary Association Oncology Working Group.
