Johnny Li, United States of America

Dr. Johnny Li is a Senior Research Scientist at Nestlé Purina PetCare Company in St. Louis. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Xiamen University in China, a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Texas at Austin where he studied molecular signaling and cellular communications. Dr. Li joined Nestlé Purina after completing a postdoctoral fellowship in bioinformatics at the Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical R&D. His publications span studies in microbiome, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and bioinformatics. He is a scientific organizing committee for the International Conference in Canine and Feline Genetics and Genomics. His current research utilizes translational approaches to address metabolic changes in common chronic diseases in dogs and cats.
