Prof. Dr. med. habil. Jörg Schelling, MD is a family doctor (specialist in internal medicine and general practice) in a large group practice in Martinsried near Munich. He is delegate for the Bavarian General Practitioner Association at the State Medical Association and scientific advisory board or board member of several medical societies.From 2005-2014, he expanded and developed the general practitioner teacher's institute for general practice at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and became its first & founding director in 2014-2016. He is member of the Bavarian state working group vaccination (LAGI) at the LGL and a member of the Bavarian vaccination commission. In the primary care of patients, his focus is on all age groups, especially in practical vaccination medicine and prevention. In research and teaching he has primarily dealt with vaccination medicine, health services research and interface research or cross-sectoral research. Another focus is digitization in the healthcare sector, especially with regard to the electronic vaccination certificate.
