Professor Paolo Gallo is Associate Professor of Neurology and Clinical and Experimental Neuroimmunology at the Medical School of Padua where he is responsible for neurological clinical services at the Hospital of Padua and is Director of the Degree Course for Neurophysiology Technicians at University of Padua School of Medicine. Professor Gallo’s major fields of research include non-conventional MRI analysis of white and grey matter pathology in inflammatory diseases of the CNS, predictive immunological markers of disease course at MS clinical onset, and the role of cerebellar pathology in the cognitive decline in MS. During his career, he has been principal investigator in more than 30 international randomised phase I, II and III clinical trials. He has also organised international courses and conferences and received academic awards.
