    Session Description
    The workshop will be a mix of didactic presentation and hands on data analysis through some worked examples. We will focus on interrupted time series analysis and synthetic controls analysis, discussing the concepts, the mechanics of setting up and running the analyses in R, and the interpretation of results. Attendees will be asked to register for a free account on a free web-based platform for using R (rstudio.cloud) and to optionally view videos on an "Introduction to R" and 'Data Wrangling in R" before attending. Please note: All ISPPD-12 Workshops are highly interactive and designed to allow at least 25% active learning for the maximum registrants anticipated.

    Session Description
    A highly interactive hands-on workshop that aims for you to understand the basic principles of WGS strain characterization and subsequent typing analysis and data visualization. During the workshop, participants will be able to upload genomic sequences to local and web-based platforms and use analysis tools to characterize, visualize, and explore genomic data with metadata variables.     Session Description
    This workshop will be highly interactive and will consist of both a presentation and a hands-on laboratory practical training session. Learning objectives: To gain a practical understanding of traditional pneumococcal identification methods and test principles (culture, optochin susceptibility, and bile solubility test); To learn about phenotypic pneumococcal serotyping methods (Quellung reaction and latex agglutination).
