Funing Zhong

Dr. Funing Zhong is a Distinguished Professor and Vice Chairman of the Academic Committee of Nanjing Agricultural University. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Manitoba in 1989. Dr. Zhong has played a leading role in the discipline of agricultural economics in China in the last 20 years, serving as the Chairman of the Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management Disciplinary Appraisal Committee of the State Council Academic Commission of China, a Vice President of Chinese Association of Agricultural Economists and the President of Dean’s Association of Agricultural Economics. He has also served a number of international organizations in various capacities including as a consultant to the FAO, the World Bank, and IFPRI and as HLPE member of the World Food Security Committee. He has also served as a board member on the Editorial Advisory Committee of Agricultural Economics and on the Editorial Advisory Committee of the Canadian Journal of Agricultural Economics.
