Stephane LemarieINRA Grenoble Applied Economics Laboratory (GAEL)
Stéphane Lemarié is senior researcher at INRA (France) and the head of the Grenoble Applied Economics Laboratory (GAEL). Over the last 20 years his research has been covering various issues related to innovation and new technologies in the agricultural sector. Most of his analyses are based on the industrial organization framework. His current projects cover the impact of genomic selection, the organization of genetic selection in the different plant and animal species used in agriculture and the comparison of the various mechanism for funding research in genetic for agriculture. Lemarié trained as an engineer in agronomy (AgroParisTech) with a specialty in quantitative genetics for plant breeding. He then made his PhD in Grenoble in the 90’s before being recruited by INRA.
