Michiel Van DijkWageningen Economic Research International Policy
Michiel van Dijk is a development economist working as senior researcher in the field of food security, agricultural analysis and innovation at Wageningen Economic Research and as research scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). He received his PhD in technology and development studies from the Technical University Eindhoven. His main interest lies in the analysis and assessment of technology, food security and agricultural policies in developing countries and emerging economies using integrated assessment models, econometrics and scenario analysis. He is currently working on projects related to yield gap assessment in Africa, the impact of agricultural R&D investment on global food security and the food-energy-water nexus in Africa and Asia.
