Sophia Davidova

Sophia Davidova is Professor of European Agricultural Policy at the University of Kent and Honorary Director of the Research Centre for European Agri-Environmental Studies (CEAS) at the School of Economics, University of Kent. She was President of the UK Agricultural Economics Society (AES) in 2011–2012. She has worked as an expert for several European and other international organisations, including the European Parliament AGRI Committee, the European Commission, the European Network for Rural Development, OECD and FAO, and has led teams in collaborative research projects. She has worked extensively on labour market for agriculture and movements in and out of farming and rural areas. She has first-hand experience in the Balkans and has carried out research and provided advice to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development in Kosovo.
