Mywish Maredia

Mywish Maredia is a Professor, International Development, in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics and serves as the Director of the Food Security Policy Innovation Lab. Prior to this, she served as the Deputy Director of the Dry Grain Pulses CRSP from 2000-09, and as a member of the Standing Panel on Impact Assessment of the CGIAR’s Science Council from 2006-11. She has broad research interests and has worked extensively on a range of topics, including impact evaluation, the economics of agricultural science and technology, technology adoption, seed system development and policies, the economics of biotechnology, intellectual property rights, and land policy. Mywish received a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University, and a M.A. and B.A. in Economics from the University of Bombay. She was the recipient of the Outstanding Ph.D. Dissertation Award in 1994 from the American Agricultural Economics Association.
