Elia A. Vallicelli is a post-doc researcher for the Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) within the University of Milano-Bicocca Microelectronics Group. His main research interests are in the fields of medical physics and integrated circuits. He is responsible of different work packages within INFN Proton Sound Detector project (ProSD) and is the PI of paMELA (Photoacoustic Melanoma Detector) project.

Dr. Velalopoulou is a biologist who received her B.Sc, M.Sc. and Ph.D.from the University of Ioannina in Greece. She continued with her postdoctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania, in US, and she is now a research associate at the Department of Radiation Oncology of the same university. Her research interests focus on the investigation of the protective properties of FLASH radiotherapy on various models of normal tissue.
