Oluwakemi Ogundipe (Belgium)

Dr Oluwakemi (Kemi) Ogundipe is a Paediatric Advisor for Medecins Sans Frontieres based in Brussels. She has been supporting their neonatal and paediatric care programs globally since 2018. Previously, Dr Ogundipe worked extensively in several MSF projects, both as a paediatric mobile implementing officer and field doctor. She is a US-trained paediatrician with specialized training in global health including paediatric HIV and TB, and also has a master’s in public health with a concentration in maternal and child health. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr Ogundipe has been leading the coordination and revision of clinical and operational guidance on the management of COVID-19 in children for MSF clinical sites, as well as guidance to ensure the vital continuity of existing child health activities despite the challenges of the pandemic. Over the past year, she has travelled to Yemen, Nigeria and South Sudan directly supporting MSF paediatric activities. Dr Ogundipe has been representing the challenges encountered by MSF staff and patients due to the measures in response to the pandemic at various international platforms on behalf of MSF’s International Paediatric Working Group.
