Biomedical biostatistician with extensive virology knowledge and experience implementing advanced statistical models in the development of predictive models. More than 7 years of experience in intrahospital research and research center environments focusing on pediatric infectious diseases and personalized medicine, particularly in the field of HIV infection in early treated infants. Vast experience developing statistical analysis plans, research proposals, designing and monitoring cross-sectional and longitudinal studies in collaboration with clinical collaborators. Extensive experience analyzing clinical surveys and high-throughput machine learning algorithms. Routinely tutor undergraduate students and supervise diploma and MSc students. In recent years statistician as external consultant of WHO in the international multicohort O2CoV2 study. Key achievements include 28 publications in peer-reviewed journals and multiple participations in international congresses. Research interests: Development of much needed predictive tools to aid in early diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment response prediction for HIV/AIDS; translation of research findings into clinical applications.
