Florian Götzinger (Austria)

Florian Götzinger was born in Austria in 1982. He studied medicine in Vienna, Austria and Bordeaux, France, with electives in Accra, Ghana and pursued his specialty training in Vienna and London, UK. He holds diplomas in Tropical Medicine and Paediatric Infectious Diseases. He is a clinical lecturer for General Paediatrics at Klinik Ottakring - Austrian reference centre for childhood tuberculosis. Since 2019 he is Programme Director for Paediatric Infectious Diseases for the Vienna Healthcare Group and member of the scientific board (lead in Paediatrics) of the Vienna Infectious Diseases Network (WIN). At Klinik Ottakring he is lead for Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Migrant Health. His main area of research is that of COVID-19 in children and childhood tuberculosis.
