Louis Bont is a Paediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist and Leader of the RSV Research Group at the University Medical Center Utrecht and of the non-profit ReSViNET foundation. His specific research interest is RSV pathogenesis and the burden of disease. He is the lead investigator of the INFORM study, a global study to unravel the molecular epidemiology of RSV; he leads the RSV GOLD mortality registry, and his group collaborates with the WHO on RSV surveillance and vaccine development.
