Reinaldo Pierre-Alvarez MD, MSc Born in Caracas, Venezuela. Graduated from Medical School at the Central University of Venezuela. Completed a 4-years Program on Pediatrics and a 2- years Program on Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at the West General Hospital and the "Dr. Simon Beker" Gastroenterology Medical Department in Caracas. As an Active Member of Local and International Medical Societies I am the Former President of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Committee of the Venezuelan Gastroenterology Society, Former Vice President, President and currently Past President of the Latinamerican Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (LASPGHAN). In all cases, I have participated as Chief of the Directors Board, Coordinator of cross-functional teams, Working groups and Clinical research projects. I currently work as a Clinical Attending in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and Chief of Pediatric Endoscopy at the "Luis Razetti" Private Hospital and IDB Medical Group in Barquisimeto, Venezuela I have Medical and clinical research experience in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition with over 30 published papers in local and international medical journals and special interest in Pediatric Endoscopy, Eosinophilic esophagitis, Helicobacter pylori and IBD. I am the Co- Editor of the Pediatric Endoscopy Atlas of the Latinamerican Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (LASPGHAN) and Co- Author of LASPGHAN's Pediatric Nutrition Handbook.
