Anders Fasth is senior professor of pediatric immunology at the University of Gothenburg and senior consultant at Queen Silvia's Children’s Hospital where he is active since 1971. He is also consultant physician for Servicio de Inmunología y Reumatología Pediátrica, Hospital Nacional de Niños ‘‘Dr. Carlos Sáenz Herrera,’’ in San José, Costa Rica since 1985. Anders Fasth is conducting research concerning primary immunodeficiency and rheumatic diseases in children, as well as hematopoietic stem cell transplantation since over 40 years. Dr Fasth was Medical Director of the Swedish National Umbilical Chord Blood Bank 2006 - 2020 and of the Hematopoietic Stem Cell Program at Queen Silvia Children's Hospital 1984 - 2012. He cooperates with several centers for primary immunodeficiency in Latin America and he is honorary member of Latin American Society of Immunodeficiency and the Costa Rican Pediatric Association. Dr Fasth has published more than 250 peer-reviewed papers and many book chapters.
