Prof Dieye is full Professor at Cheikh Anta Diop University, Head of the immunology Unit of IRESSEF (Research Institute of Health, Epidemiology& training) in Diamniadio & head of the immunology unit at Le Dantec University teaching hospital, Dakar, Senegal. He is also head of the National blood transfusion laboratories. He is the past president of African Society for Immunodeficiencies (ASID). Director of the West African Excellency Platform for research and control of HIV, Malaria, Tuberculosis, and re-emerging infectious in Senegal sponsored by Belgium cooperation. His main research activities are focused on infectious diseases including TB, HIV, Malaria, ELOBA and others neglected diseases. Dr Dieye participate to several biological A project for primary immunodeficiency in Africa. He’s also involved on leukemia and other hematologic cancers research in Senegal. He managed several vaccine trials on Tuberculosis, Malaria and EBOLA. He is senior immunology investigator of several vaccine trials including MVA 85A TB vaccine trial Phase I and Phase II in HIV infected subjects, ME-TRAPP Malaria Phase II vaccine (Oxford Jenner Institute, UK), a phase II EBOLA vaccine trial (Oxford Jenner Institute, UK, GSK, Merck, and Canadian EBOLA vaccine. As a WHO expert consultant on vaccine, Dr Dieye facilitate the bi annual regional Vaccinology course for francophone and Anglophone African countries. He is also Member of WHO Regional Verification Commission (RVC) for measles elimination and member of the Senegalese NITAG group and the WHO TAG for measles & rubella. Prof Dieye is member of several organisation including SAA (society of AIDS in Africa) and IAS (international AIDS Society); NESI (Network for Education to Support Immunisation), EFI (European Federation of immunogenetics), Belgium Transplant Society (BTS) and ASID. He is currently vice-president of the scientific committee of the Africa Centre of Excellence (ACE) for mother to child transmission in Cheikh Anta Diop University (Senegal). Dr is acting Secretary general of the society of AIDS in Africa (SAA). Dr Dieye got a master in immunology in Christian De Duve institute of Catholic University (Brussels, Belgium) & a PhD in Fre University of Brussels (Université Libre de Bruxelles, ULB). He is currently full professor in Thies, St Louis (UGB), and Ziguinchor (UAS) Universities of Senegal.
