CHU Sainte-Justine, University of Montreal Pediatrics and ImmunologyI am a clinical scientist, full professor (tenured) at the University of Montreal. I have been involved in Primary Immune Deficiency (PID) since 1993 and particularly in their treatment by Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT). I did a 5-year clinical fellowship in Alain Fischer’s Unit, Paris, France, one of most productive centers for HCT in PID. I did my PhD and my post-doc in basic immunology to study the Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome. In 2005, I was recruited by Sainte-Justine Hospital, a tertiary University Hospital in Montreal, Canada.
In my institution, I am Head of Immunology Division and Head of the Program of research "Immune Diseases and Cancer". I perform both clinical and basic research in pediatric immunology. In 2012, I have been appointed Councillor and in 2017 I have been elected on the board of the Clinical Immunology Society (CIS).
I have been involved in the Primary Immune Deficiency Treatment Consortium (PIDTC) since 2009 as site PI for Sainte-Justine Hospital. In 2014, I became the PI of the 6902 protocol of PIDTC: “A Retrospective and Cross-Sectional Analysis of Patients Treated for SCID since January 1, 1968”, and I will be a Co-PI on the next SCID project 6907. Since 2017, I am a member of the PIDTC Steering Committee
