Clara Franco Jarava studied Biotechnology degree at Universitat Rovira i Virgili,2005-2011, in Tarragona (Spain) and then specialized in Clinical Immunology at Hospital Universitario Vall d'Hebron, following the Specialized National Health Education Programme (2012-2016). Since then she is working at the Immunology Department on Vall d'Hebron Hospital, as part of the laboratory group for Primary Immunodeficiencies diagnostics. Her main interests are the identification of genetic variants and their validation through functional studies. She obtained her PhD in 2017, which focused on Immunodeficiencies of the Complement System. She is an active member of ESID since 2016 and is the chair of the Junior Working Party since 2018.
