Dr Chris O’Loughlin is an Associate Dean and the Head of School for Psychiatry in the East of England, coordinating our training programmes across organizations, promoting recruitment, and supporting trainees. He also works in the Professional Support and Wellbeing Service seeing trainees across specialties. His work with the Royal College includes Supervisor Training, working on the Choose Psychiatry Committee, and being a clinical examiner. Dr O’Loughlin has worked with trainees to improve the experience of appraisals, and led on the RCPsych response to Covid for trainee appraisals. Away from work he enjoys triathlon and is slowly learning Italian.

Dr. Michael Odenwald is clinical psychologist and licensed psychotherapist (CBT). His research interests are traumatic experiences and substance use a s risk factors for psychotic disorders and preventive psychotherapeutic interventions. Since 2012 he assumes the following positions at the University of Konstanz, Germany: CEO of the Psychotherapy Outpatient Clinic for Teaching and Research, Senior Psychologist at the Research Ward at the Centre of Psychiatry Reichenau and Independent Research Project Leader. In the past 15 years, he conducted several collaborative research projects in Eastern Africa and at the Horn of Africa.

Prof. Olson studied chemistry and biology at Union College before receiving his Ph.D. in chemistry from Stanford University. After his graduate work, he completed postdoctoral training in neuroscience at the Stanley Center for Psychiatric Research at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Prof. Olson joined the faculty at UC Davis in 2015, where he established a research program at the interface of chemistry and neuroscience. His research focuses on understanding how small molecules influence neural plasticity, learning, memory, and mood. In 2019, he co-founded Delix Therapeutics—a company developing non-hallucinogenic analogs of psychedelics for treating a variety of brain disorders.

Maria A. Omelchenko is Associate Professor and Senior Fellow of the Department of Youth Psychiatry at the Mental Health Research Center in Moscow, Russia. M. Omelchenko got her medical degree from the Moscow Medical Academy in 2002. Then she graduated from clinical residency in specialty «Psychiatry in 2005. Since 2005 she has been working in the Mental Health Research Centre, the country’s leading institution in psychiatry. She defended her PhD thesis in 2012 on the subject “Juvenile psychosis with manic symptoms”, and DrSci thesis in 2021 on the “Attenuated symptoms of schizophrenia in juvenile depression”. M. Omelchenko was engaged in the studying of the prodromal stage of schizophrenia, early diagnosis of schizophrenia and therapeutic intervention in patients at risk for schizophrenia. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and reviews. She is a member of the Russian Society of Psychiatrists, and IEPA (Early Intervention in Mental Health). M. Omelchenko is a scientific editor of the S.S. Korsakov Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry. M. Omelchenko is interested in youth mental health, early intervention in psychosis, juvenile depression, youth substance use, biological feedback in preventing of mental disorders, impulsivity at the early stages of mental disorders.
