Rutger Jan van der Gaag (1950) MD PhD honorary fellow RCPsych and WPA, International Distinguished Fellow APA is an emeritus professor of psychiatry (child & adolescent at the Radboud University Medical Centre Nijmegen in the Netherlands, where he still serves as Vice-Chancellor of the Radboud University. Currently he is, amongst others, professor of Psychosomatics and Psychotherapy at the Stradina University of Riga Latvia, Member of the Board of the University of Paris Cité, where he is also Member of the National Academy of Medecine. As Past president of the Royal Dutch Medical Association he served on the Council of the World Medical Association and was Vice President of the European Medical Doctors (CPME). As past president of the Netherlands Psychiatric Association he was co-founder of the Council of NPA's within EPA. His research focused on developmental psychopathology (Autism ADHD Addiction) and Gender. He is secretary of the Alliance for Gender and Mental Health that organises the 9th Congres of the International Association for Women's Mental Health in Maastricht 6-9 November 2022 www.iawmh2022.org "Determination & Solidarity"
