Dr. Jun Chen is the Office Director for the Clinical Research Center, Shanghai Mental Health Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine(SMHC). He is serving as the Board Member/Asia for the International Society for Bipolar Disorders(ISBD), Distinguished Fellow for the Pacific Rim College of Psychiatrists(PRCP), Vice Chairman for the Youth Group of Chinese Society of Psychiatry (CSP), Committee member for the Chinese Psychiatrist Association(CPA), and Associate Editor in Chief for the Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment(NDT). Educated in China and the US, he received the M.D./Ph.D. degree with Prof. Yiru Fang in psychiatry at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in 2009. In 2010, he got the early-career psychiatrist research fellow funding from the World Psychiatric Association. After that, he worked and studied with Prof. Joseph R. Calabrese and Dr. Keming Gao in the Mood Disorders Program in Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine for one year. From 2014, Dr. Chen joined the APEC workshop to promote innovative collaborations in mental health and work together with APEC professionals. Dr. Chen's research focuses on the phenomenon and treatment of bipolar disorder and treatment-resistant depression, including clinical research, big data analysis, cognition function, and neuroimaging.
