Peter Handest, MD, PhD, is a Senior Consultant, co-founder and chairman of The Danish Society for phenomenological psychopathology. He has extensive clinical and research experience in the field of clinical psychopathology and his main research interests are prodromal states of schizophrenia, subjective experiences, self-disorders and classification. He is author of books and chapters on schizophrenia and schizotypal disorder, co-translator of the Danish version of the Bonn Scale for the Assessment of Basic Symptoms (BSABS, Huber et al 1987) and of Klaus ConradĀ“s monography on incipient psychosis. He is one of the key developers of the Examination of Anomalous Subjective Experiences (EASE), a clinical assessment tool for the exploration of subjective psychopathology in schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
