K. Skonieczna-Żydecka, Poland

Pomeranian Medical Univeristy Department of Biochemical Sciences
My scientific interests focused on the study of dysfunctions of the gut-brain axis, the clinical manifestation of which includes, inter alia, Functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGIDs) and neuropsychiatric disorders (including depression, schizophrenia and others). One of the strong modifiers of the intestinal microbiota is a long-term exposure to stress, hence the active participation in the international COH-FIT project from April 2020, as Polish Leader.
