Patrick Lacor, MD, FACP Dr. Lacor is Head of the Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases unit at the University Hospital Brussels in Belgium. He is also a teaching Professor in Clinical Infectology for students of medicine and pharmacology. Dr. Lacor’s main fields of interest include general internal medicine, infectious diseases, HIV infection, immunodeficiency and medical ethics. He has been published in many international peer reviewed journals. Dr. Lacor is a member of the European Society of Internal Medicine, the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, and the International Society for Infectious Diseases, among others. Dr. Lacor is past-President of the Belgian Society of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Wendy Levinson is a Professor of Medicine and Past Chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto. She is a national and international expert in the field of physician-patient communication, studying topics including the disclosure of medical errors to patients and informed decision making. She is presently the Chair of Choosing Wisely Canada, a campaign to help physicians and patients engage in conversations about unnecessary tests, treatments, and procedures. She also chairs and is coordinating Choosing Wisely International, a collaborative of the Choosing Wisely campaigns in over 25 countries worldwide. In 2014, Dr. Levinson was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada for her work.

Andreas Liebl is Medical Director of the Center for Diabetes and Metabolism at the Fachklinik in Bad Heilbrunn, Germany. His research interests include insulin therapy, pharmacoeconomics, insulin pump therapy, intraperitoneal insulin therapy, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and other diabetes technology. Until 2017 Dr Liebl was a long-standing board member of ‘Diabetes Technology – Insulin Pumps and Blood Glucose Sensors’, which is a working group of the German Diabetes Association (DDG). He has also been chairman of the Diabetes Expert Commission FKDB within the DDG. Dr Liebl has been author or co-author of more than 100 national and international publications, and has delivered numerous presentations at scientific meetings all over the world.
