Baldiri Salcedo is Associate Lector at the research group Energy in Transition from the Hague University of Applied Sciences. Baldiri studied Mechanical Engineering at the UPC university in Barcelona, Spain, and holds a PhD about the use of Integrated contracts in social housing energy renovations carried out at TU Delft. His current work focusses on building and district energy systems data analysis and simulation.

Mr. Daniel Sánchez Muñoz is an Agricultural Engineer from Cordoba University who turned his career into the renewable energy field and currently works as a project engineer for The Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC) in Barcelona. Daniel complemented his background obtaining the MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering at Cranfield University, UK. His thesis researches always have been focused on renewable energies and after joining IREC in 2018, he has been involved in European and Industrial projects related with Pressure Retarded Osmosis energy production (PRO), automation of pilot plants (ELDE), power systems resilience against climate change (RESCCUE) and IoT platforms development for electric systems (SuperPV). These projects have mainly boosted his skills on the fields of systems automation and UI design, GIS development, electrical network resilience, and IoT development.

Prof.Dr.Sangkertadi was born in Yogyakarta July 9th, 1961. Now is Vice Rector for Planning, Budgetting and Collaboration Affairs at Sam Ratulangi University, Manado, Indonesia. Teaching assignment as Professor in building science in Department of Architecture. Prof.Sangkertadi got B.Sc. in Architecture from ITS, Indonesia, in 1985, then got master degree from INSA de Lyon, France in 1990. PhD degree was also awarded from INSA de Lyon, in 1994, with specialization on Design Method in Building and Urban Technique. He has published many scientific articles in national and international journals, as well as in many proceedings of scientific meeting, and some didactical books in the field of architectural science. Job experienced as head of Building Science Laboratory (1998-2010), head of Master Program Degree in Architecture (2010 – 2014) in Sam Ratulangi University. As invited Professor in a special class teaching in some other Universities, like in Feng Chia University (Taiwan), UTM (Malaysia), ITS (Indonesia), UI (Indonesia). He also as external jury in PhD Dissertation Exam, in UiTM (Malaysia), ITS, Gunadharma University, Diponegoro University (Indonesia). Member of some professional organization, like Indonesia Association of Architect, Indonesia Association of Planner, Association of Green Building Expert Indonesia, Association of Indonesia Researcher on Built Environment.

Michael Mendes Santos is a civil engineer, master in sustainable construction at Zambeze University in Mozambique, a Ph.D. student in civil engineering at the University of Beira Interior in Portugal, and a member of the Center of Materials Building Technologies (C–MADE/UBI). His research interests cover the areas of sustainable construction and building materials. Currently develops research in sustainable rehabilitation of buildings in Beira, Mozambique, and waste recovery for new construction materials.

Andre Santos Nouri is an Architect and Urban Designer who specialises in the sustainable examination and improvement of urban human biometeorological conditions within warming cities in an era of climate change. His research focuses upon the pursuit of improving and maturing human thermophysiological conditions through interdisciplinary bottom-up assessment methodologies and adaptation approaches to improve the thermal resilience and adaptability of the urban fabric. After working in the UK within the private and public sector, he obtained his PhD in Urbanism, at the Faculty of Architecture within the University of Lisbon – Portugal (FAUL), and has since taught at different intuitions in different countries. He publishes his research in different international journals, conferences, and is a visiting lecturer and invited speaker within numerous annual events and schools. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (IAED), within the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture (FADA) at Bilkent University, Ankara – Turkey. In addition, he is the coordinator of a co-circulation project attributed from the national Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) with the collaborative participation of institutions in Germany, Taiwan, Greece, and Romania.

Prof. Mustafa Saroar lectures on Sustainable Urban Management at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. He did PhD from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok & Norwegian University of Science & Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway (As an exchange Norwegian Government/MFA Scholar). He holds an MSc from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany (as a German Government/DAAD Scholar). Prof Saroar worked for many institutions including Unicef, UNDP, USAID, FAO, WHO, GIZ, RVO, and CGIAR institutions. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers from leading publishers including Springer, Elsevier, T&F, Wily & Sons, and Emerald. He is currently Associate Editor of several Web of Science/Scopus Indexed Journals of leading publishes. He has presented as a keynote/plenary/invited speaker at more than 30 high-impact international conferences held in North America, Europe, Oceania, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Prof Saroar is very often invited as an expert panel discussant on issues of Urban Sustainability by government agencies, international organizations, and industry.

Her master degree in engineering science in field of environmental engineering management and technology from Mansoura University. Her PH.D. in field of environmental planning from Cairo University. She is interested in study of global climate change impacts, especially sea level rise. In light of these existing impacts, she tried to find solution in frame of a group of strategies and policies.

I completed my Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch, Honours) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, BUET in 2016. In 2020, I obtained my master’s in landscape architecture (cum laude) from Delft University of Technology, TU Delft, Netherlands. After graduation, I have worked as a landscape architect in the Netherlands for some time. Currently, I am a lecturer at the Department of Architecture, North South University, Dhaka. My research and professional practice endeavors revolve around the links between urban ecology, architecture, landscape, and the heritage landscapes of Bangladesh.
