While the last UN reports on climate change and biodiversity loss are alarming every time more and more, a new sustainability industry has developed including circular processes, bringing down carbon emissions, and new technologies on sustainable energy, food production, adaption and carbon removal. Restoring and protecting biodiversity within an ecosystem approach while creating stakeholder alignment that makes business sense, are the key elements of the emerging Ecosystem or Landscape Restoration Industry. In this lecture Willem Ferwerda will share his experiences on the importance of building this industry based on practical experiences and lessons learned.
