Jacqueline S. Dron (United States of America)

Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Genomic Medicine
Dr. Dron is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Genomic Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, in the lab of Dr. Amit Khera. Her current research focuses on leveraging genetic and non-genetic data to identify clinically relevant subtypes and new pathways driving risk of coronary artery disease, as well as better understanding classical risk factors, such as lipids. Dr. Dron earned her PhD at Western University (London, Canada) under the supervision of Dr. Robert Hegele, where she studied the genetic determinants underlying dyslipidemia and contributed towards the understanding of the genetic basis of hypertriglyceridemia, with a particular emphasis on polygenic factors.
