Daniel Gaudet, Canada

Dr. Gaudet is professor of medicine at Université de Montréal and director of the Community Genetic Medicine Center and its Clinical Lipidology and Genetic Dyslipidemia unit in Chicoutimi. He is also one of the founders of the Lipid and Metabolism Research Clinic in Chicoutimi and scientific officer of the Genome Quebec biobank and ECOGENE-21 biocluster. Dr. Gaudet has led integrated clinical and research activities in the fields of genetics and lipid metabolism for more than 25 years. Over the years, he has coordinated >225 academic projects or clinical studies involving the development of new drugs, biodrugs, gene-based technologies and therapies. He is the author or co-author of around 300 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, >500 scientific communications as well as published books and book chapters in lipidology for clinicians and medical students.
