Session Description
Neonatal PN: Myths & Evidences - Supported by Baxter Session Description: Baxter invites you to join two outstanding pediatric scientific sessions during EAPS 2022. Prof. Domellöf from Sweden will share insights on which electrolytes a Parenteral Nutrition (PN) solution should include during the first three days of life. Additional discussion will address the risks and benefits of providing early electrolytes and whether current evidence calls for a change in practice. The session will also focus on the latest evidence from Späth et al. 2020 & 2022. Dr. Thibault Senterre will review recent PN lipid guidelines and highlight key takeaways from recent evidence. He will also discuss whether a fish-oil-containing lipid emulsion is the best way to provide LC-PUFAs. Each presentation will last 20 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session moderated by Professor Sáenz de Pipaon from Madrid, Spain.
