Dr. van der Linden is an Applied Mathematician by training and currently a Staff Data Scientist at Dexcom. With over 9 years of experience in analytics, data science and scientific computing, he has worked on solving problems with data across a wide range of applications, including glucose monitoring, not-for-profit fundraising and reservoir engineering. In his current role at Dexcom, he specializes in real-world evidence studies, randomized experimentation and commercial analytics. Dr. van der Linden holds Bachelor of Science (2011) and Master of Science (2013) degrees in Applied Mathematics from The Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands and completed a PhD in Engineering (2018) at The University of Melbourne in Australia. He was awarded the University of Melbourne’s 2018 John Melvin Memorial Prize for Best PhD Thesis in Engineering & IT.

Benjamin Lobo is a Research Scientist in the School of Data Science at the University of Virginia (see https://bjlobo.pythonanywhere.com). He works on applying machine learning methods and other data science techniques to problems in the healthcare domain. Most recently his work has focused on extracting insights from continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data (see https://doi.org/10.1109/TBME.2021.3103127 and https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compbiomed.2022.105293).

Dr. Trang Ly leads the clinical functions at Insulet Corporation and is a leading expert in automated insulin delivery and diabetes technology. Most recently, she served as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology, Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to her time at Stanford, Dr. Ly as a pediatric endocrinologist in the Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Perth, Australia. She is also a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, with specialist qualification in pediatric endocrinology.
