Dr James E Greening MBBS FRCPCH is a paediatric specialist in endocrinology and diabetes who runs a large diabetes team at the Leicester Royal Infirmary in the UK. He has worked with children with diabetes for over 23 years . He was trained in a number of the leading endocrine units in the UK and the institute of child health. He is now Leicester children’s hospital lead for clinical research and is actively involved in research and education in type 1 diabetes. He is a co-founder heal-med CIC and the “DEAPP” structured education program it is through his and his team’s experience of managing diabetes patients that they have set up the DEAPP program to provide gold standard education to support patients and families to achieve management of their diabetes. He currently is the clinical lead for the program supported by an expert team driving forward the program and the expansion of Heal-med as medical education company bridging the space between patients and the use of technology.
