Dr. Anders Carlson is a Medical Director at DocSquad, part of Bright Health Group’s integrated care delivery organization, where he works on the development and implementation of telehealth platforms. He also remains active as an endocrinologist and investigator with the International Diabetes Center at Park Nicollet in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School. His current research efforts are centered on diabetes technology, prevention, and education. He is an investigator on several clinical trials looking at new diabetes therapeutics as well as devices such as hybrid closed-loop insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems. In conjunction with his team at IDC, he has published several articles about glucose data interpretation and use of the Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP).

Lars Cederblad holds a Licentiate of Engineering and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. He has a long background from industrial companies in roles related to Research and Development as well as Product Management and strategies. Before founding Digital Diabetes Analytics, he has successfully co-founded a management consulting firm specializing in powerful execution and digital transformation. After living with T1DM for many years, Lars identified an opportunity to better utilize the information from CGM systems. He joined forces with a few experts in endocrinology and health markets and founded the company in 2019. Since then, Lars is focusing on building the company and developing functions and tools to better support both persons with diabetes as well as the clinics.

Professor Antonio Ceriello is Research Consultant at IRCCS MultiMedica, Milan, Italy. Professor Ceriello has published widely in the area of diabetes with over 500 original papers and with an h-index of 114. He chaired the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) committee for the development in 2008, and in the 2011 for the update of “Guideline for Management of Postmeal Glucose ”. Currently, is the President of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Study Group on “Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases”. He also served as Board member of the “2019 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines on diabetes, pre-diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases developed in collaboration with the EASD “. He also served as Associate Editor of “Diabetes Care” from 2003 to 2011 and Associate Editor of “Diabetic Medicine” from 2005 to 2016. From July 1st 2016 he has been appointed as Editor in Chief of “Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice”, the official IDF journal. Currently he is also in the Editorial Board of “Cardiovascular Diabetology”. Prof. Ceriello is the winner of the 2004 “Camillo Golgi Prize” of the EASD and of the 2017 of the “Hellmut Mehnert Award”, during the IDF 2017 Meeting.

Daniel R. Cherñavvsky, MD Dr. Cherñavvsky received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed his pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital in Buenos Aires and his fellowship in pediatric nephrology at the Italian Hospital in Buenos Aires. He came to the University of Virginia in 1997 as a research fellow where his primary research was in kidney development. A highlight of his achievement during those years is his publication with Nobel laurate, Dr. Oliver Smithies on Bartter Syndrome. He joined the faculty at UVA, and his seminal work was in the Center for Diabetes Technology where he was part of the development of the first closed-loop system tested in humans. He coordinated the 1st USA outpatient clinical trial of an artificial pancreas in 2011. He also conducted the 1st clinical trial using Artificial Pancreas in Latin America in 2016. As part of the UVA Center for Diabetes Technology, he conducted more than 30 clinical trials in five countries (four continents) enabling emerging technology to be tested and later used for treatment of diabetes in children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Chernavvsky is the author or co-author of numerous peer review articles, and he is senior editor for the first edition of the Artificial Pancreas published in April 2019. In 2017, he joined TypeZero as a Chief Medical Officer and in 2019 he joined Dexcom as Senior Director of Medical Affairs. He is part of the group that enabled the use of CGM for inpatients during the pandemic and is currently the clinical lead that seeks to have Dexcom CGM approved for use in hospital settings.
