Revital Nimri is a senior endocrinologist, the Director of the Scientific and Technology Diabetes Service and the Diabetes Technology Center at the Institute for Endocrinology and Diabetes, National Center for Childhood Diabetes, Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel. She has a 20-years track record of expertise in clinical diabetes and in the last decade, she is focusing solely on new and innovative technologies for the treatment of diabetes. Her research interests include basic and clinical research in diabetology with special emphasis on new insulins, insulin pumps, glucose sensors, closed loop systems and decision support algorithms. She has a key role in the team who developed the MD-Logic – closed-loop system using fuzzy logic technology as well as the MD-Logic advisors as a clinical decision support to physicians and patients to handle their own daily routine and improve the control of their diabetes. She has conducted and led several multi-national multi-center studies focusing on diabetes technology. She has received academic and professional awards for clinical research and for contribution to the research in diabetes.
